To visit Iran's largest roofed caravanserai, you must travel to Qazvin. This caravanserai is one of the most prominent monuments of Qazvin.
Caravanserai of Sa'd al-Saltaneh with an area of 6.2 hectares is the largest roofed caravanserai in Iran. Construction of this caravanserai dates back to the late reign of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar. This caravanserai is also called by other names such as Saadiyeh house and Saadat house. At the end of the reign of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar, a person named Mohammad Baqir Khan Sa'd al-Saltaneh Isfahani, who ruled Qazvin at the time, ordered the construction of this building, due to There was a lot of trade relations between Iran and countries like Turkey and Russia at that time.

This caravanserai, as mentioned above, has a commercial role in the past and has been used as a hub for business activities. But after the changes in Russia, it lost its important trading position


The building has several entrances, many shops, magnificent vestibules and long corridors with brick decorations. Perhaps the most significant part of the caravanserai is Chahar Suq (the intersection of the two main and major sections of the bazaar.) that there is a large tiled dome on its roof.
