Conquer Middle East's highest peak, trek past the verdant Hillside and silent glaciers, and watch the sunset from base camp.
Mount Damavand, a potentially active volcano, is a stratovolcano that is the highest peak in Iran and the Middle East as well as the second-highest volcano in Asia. It has a special place in Persian mythology and folklore. We hike in the Polour region in the North of Tehran. This is no picnic outing, but great for anyone in good shape and hungry for a thrilling, high-altitude adventure. The views on the way up are spectacular, but nothing compares to what you’ll see (and feel) at the top.
