Pahlavanpur Garden

Pahlavanpur Garden is one of the Yazd historical gardens that is placed in Mehriz, Yazd province. This garden dates back to the Qajar era.

Pahlavanpur Garden is a beautiful garden that has been turned into a hotel currently. It dates back to the Qajar era. The garden belonged to Hasan Mollareza, but this garden was owned by his son-in-law, Mr. Ali Pahlavanpur, after his death. Pahlavanpur Garden was registered with UNESCO in 2011.

• Features of the Garden
   

  • Water: At the beginning, time you enter the garden, you can hear the sound of water. The water that is flowing here rises from the Hasan Abad Qanat and only passes through Pahlavanpur Garden. Moreover, Shah Hosseini and Mzvyr Abad Qanats are the other water supply sources for this garden.
     
  • Vegetation: The soaring Plane trees on both sides of the main stream of water are one of the prominent features of this old garden. Also, there are some fruit trees such as almond, persimmons, and pomegranate. Due to the existence of trees in this garden, this area has cool weather in Yazd province.
     
  • Entrance: At the entrance part of the garden, you will see the tower and stable that were constructed in the Qajar era. The tower has ornamentation like the Zand era.

  • Mansion: The mansion is one of the marvelous parts of this garden, which is called Sharbat-Khaneh. It is a two-and-a-half-store mansion that locating in line along the principal axis of Pahlavanpur Garden. The water of Hasan Abad Qanat also passes from this mansion. The mansion consists of different parts such as halls, Howskhaneh, and Gooshvareh. It is better to know the name of this part. Sharbat-Khaneh is a place for getting together. Howskhaneh is a place that is used in summer. Gooshvareh is a small room used to host the guests.
     
  • A bathroom, a kitchen, and a store have been excavated beside the mansion recently. Also, the caretaker's house is located on the north side of the garden.
