Moeen Home Museum and Community Center

Moeen Home Museum and Community Center belonged to Mohammad Moin, who is the author of Moin Encyclopedic Dictionary.

Moeen Home Museum was the place where Mohammad Moin had lives in. it dates back to the Qjar era. The house of Mohammad Moin and Mohammad Ali Amir Mojahed have joined together and became the Moeen Home Museum and Community Center. It is better to know that Mohammad Ali Amir Mojahed was Mohammad Moin’s father-in-law. This old house has purchased by municipality of Tehran province in 2004. The Moeen Home Museum and Community Center has established to hold literature and music classes and some seminar related to these two fields. Reading the poetry or prose of Shahnameh hold on this place continuously. This cultural center includes a literature library with 700 members. Also, this place was used as the location of some famous Iranian film such as Shahrzad and 21 days.
 

• Who was Mohammad Moin?
   

Mohammad Moin was the first Iranian that got a Ph.D. in Persian literature. When he was the boss of Dehkhoda Lexicon Institute, found the shortcomings of Dehkhoda Lexicon. Then he decided to write the Moin Encyclopedic Dictionary, the prominent work in the field of Persian Literature.

The address of the Moeen Home Museum and Community Center is on the Bayazid Bastami Street, Chaharsad Dastgah Square, Piroozi Street, Tehran province. Subway: You should get on the subway train in line-4 and get off at the Piroozi Subway Station. It is a 14-minute walk from the subway station to this place.
