The Kashan city, is an ancient city that has seen many events throughout history. The smart and great people of Kashan built a city under the city of Kashan to protect the city's life, which is called the Nushabad or Oyi city.
The underground city of Noushabad, dating back to the Sassanid era (1,500 years ago), is located west of the city of Aran and Bidgol and 10 km from Kashan. Of course, this city has not grown from the beginning and has evolved over 500 years, and during the Seljuk period, the Safavids, and even the Qajar have been involved.
This marvelous city, the largest underground city in the world, is considered to be built at a depth of 4-18 meters below the ground and on 3 floors. The only way to enter this mysterious world is to be entranced with 120 meters and only pass through one person. It is interesting to know that the architecture of this city is very complex and its structure is defensive and military. The city has twisted corridors, small rooms, and large, defensive and protective traps, which seemed to use during an invasion of the enemy.

The corridors of this city are designed in such a way that only one person can pass through them at a time, and are lit by a torch. At the time of the enemy's attack, when the people wanted to enter the city, the first man lit the torches, and the last one turned off the torches so they could not find a way if the enemy had followed them into the city. The corridors of the city are angularly shaped, so you cannot see inside rooms easily. In these rooms, there are niches and platforms made to put up the equipment and sit people.

There were vertical wells to go to the floors and had stone doors. Beside them, there were rocks, that if the attacker wanted to attack, stoned it.

The great mystery that hides in this city is its ventilation system. The beginning of the city's canals from the surface of the earth and its U-shaped structure, in addition to providing security for the people in insecurity and has made it possible to enter and exit the air. Its creators made the city walls behind the currents of the aqueduct to allow the cooling air to flow.
It is interesting to know that this city was accidentally discovered in 2004.
