
Golpayegan Minaret is the tallest minaret of Iran, which is 18 meters high. This minaret is located in the city of Golpayegan, Isfahan province.
The Golpayegan Minaret is one of the highest minarets in Iran that also known as the Mil Golpayegan. This minaret was built about 900 years ago and constructed during the Seljuk period. The Golpayegan has two doors and a staircase inside it. The lower and upper parts of the minaret are restored and have a brick inscription. This inscription is written in the Kufic script and is without a date. Its inscription text is from the Qur'an. There are two staircases that can be climbed, about 64 stairs to the top of the minaret. It is said that the minaret was built to guide the caravans and install the lights above it. The Golpayegan Minaret was registered in the national works of Iran on June 28, 1315.
