Itinerary

Day 1: Ahwaz Arrival

Fly to Ahwaz, the center of Khuzestan province. Start the journey by visiting Bostan to join the Arabian coffee ceremony and get to know one of Iran's most authentic Arab customs. Then it's time to hear the music and see the ritual of the Chobi and dance (Aradance dances of Iran) and the sword dance. Listening to the ancient sound of the Double Chanter and Kasoreh (a kind of musical instrument) at ancient houses called Mozif brings us back to the atmosphere of thousands of years ago. After a traditional lunch, we will learn how to make a Double Chanter. Enjoy the sunset on the dunes of the Am Dabs forests.

Day 2: Ahwaz City tour

Start the day by visiting Mapar House and the old town of the city in Nasiriyah, Ahwaz. Then, we get acquainted with the music of Alvaniyeh and Rebab (a kind of musical instrument). We will enjoy listening to the Rebab's music, extraordinary lyrics, and Arabic music. The history of playing Oud (a kind of musical instrument) in Ahwaz is a few hundred years old. We will get acquainted with the construction process of the rabab.

Day 3: Susa tour

One-day excursion to Susa to get to listen to Lur music, Ney-anbān (Bagpipes), and feel the harbor atmosphere in a city that used to be a harbor in the distant past. Later, drive back to Ahvaz in the afternoon to fly back to Tehran.
