Haleem

Haleem is one of the most favorite and tasty Iranian dishes. If you are traveling to Iran I suggest you try this dish once.

Wheat Haleem is one of the traditional Iranian dishes that such as lentils and Khash are served more in the breakfast. Haleem has a special place among the Iranian people and is used as a vow among people in rituals. People use meat or chicken in Halim.

  • Ingredients of Haleem

To cook this tasty food, you have to know about its recipes. The ingredients which you may need are as follows:
Wheat, meat (prefer turkey meat), onion, garlic, ghee, turmeric, cinnamon, sesame.

  • Recipe of Haleem
    Cooking Haleem consists some steps as follows:
     
    • First step:  Pour the wheat in some water and let it stand overnight. Then put the wheat on a gentle heat with two glasses of water. Remember, this dish should be stirred a lot.
    • Second step: In another pot, pour the meat, onions, and turmeric and then let cook the meat.
    • Third step: When the meat and wheat are cooked completely, mixed up together and add salt and oil.
    • Last step: Stir so much that its water will evaporate and your liquid will tighten.
