Sari railway station is located in Sari, the capital city of Mazandaran province. There is green and fertile land in the form of a belt stretching along the southern shore of the Caspian Sea. This belt covers three provinces in the north of Iran, Gilan, Mazandaran, and Golestan. Mazandaran has a humid subtropical (Hyrcanian) climate, and its geographical position, where it is bound by the green side of the Alborz mountain range in the south and the coast of the Caspian Sea in the north, makes Mazandaran a popular tourist resort among Iranians. Sari railway station is one of the old ones in Iran that was operated in 1929. This station has been registered in Iran's national tangible heritage. In addition, Sari railway station is on the way of Transe Iranian Railway which is registered in the UNESCO World heritage

There are three main destinations at Sari railway station. They are Tehran, Gorgan, and Mashhad. From Sari, it takes around 8 hours to reach Tehran, around 3 hours to reach Gorgan, and around 13 hours to reach Mashhad.

How to get to Sari railway station

Sari railway station is located in the center of the city so it is easy to commute to it. There is a taxi station near there and the 37^th Sari bus line, also, goes to Sari railway station from Azadi Square. In addition, there is a subway station, near Sari railway station, the name of which is "Rah Ahan", and it could be a suitable option for people willing to get to the railway station
