Bank Account in Iran

In Iran, foreign nationals can open a bank account. However, it should be noted that this opening of the account has its own rules and regulations.

In Iran, there are facilities for foreigners who can open an account in Iranian banks and use bank cards. You should, however, know that this is a bit difficult and there are some rules. The best way to use facilities of bank is by using bank cards. There are several ways to open an account and get a card, which one of them is getting a gift card. But foreigners cannot get gift cart; You must request a resident of Iran to take this card for you.

 

Of course, this card has the following limitations:

  1. You can only deposit up to 5,000,000 Rials in this card.

  2. You can only purchase POS with this card. Removal of money from an ATM is not possible.
  3. You cannot deposit money on this card.
  4. After the money is finished with this card, the card becomes unusable.

     

If you need to open a bank account, you must have as follows item:

Foreigners resident in Iran

  1. Real people who have a permanent residence permit and residence permit, or a work permit from the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare, can open a bank account for them.
     
  2. Foreigners resident in Iran who have one of the refugee documents issued by the police or an ID card issued by the Ministry of the Interior, as well as a long-time outgoing card can open a bank account.

 

Non-residence foreign persons

  1. An account opening for non-resident real persons should not be for those under the age of 18.
  2. Non-resident foreign legal can apply to open an account with the necessary documents.
