Ilam Airport is one of the country's air borders and is considered the second crowded airport in the west and the 16th in Iran.
Ilam Airport, is the main airport in Ilam province which domestic and international flights are operating at this airport. About 74 flights operate at this airport per week. This airport has one flight band which is equipped with the lighting system, but due to the climate of this region, night flights cannot be operated. Currently, Ilam Airport flights are limited to domestic flights.
Ilam airport has two domestic and international passenger terminals with an annual capacity of four million passengers. Also, Ilam Airport is equipped with the ILS system, this device is used for low visibility, storm, and inclement weather.
